Postingan All Eyes on Rafah semakin viral setelah Israel menyerang tempat kawasan kamp pengungsian di Rafah Gaza yang menewaskan puluhan orang. Rafah merupakan satu-satunya area saluran bantuan kemanusiaan ke warga Palestina di Gaza. Kota itu merupakan perbatasan dan tempat pengungsian warga Palestina di Gaza. Ketika Rafah turut dibombardir oleh Israil, maka warga Palestina terjebak dan tak dapat ke mana-mana. Oleh karena itu “semua mata tertuju pada Rapah”. Bahkan banyak figur publik dan masyarakat umum menyerukan hal tersebut di tengah masifnya serangan Israel ke Rafah.
Slogan yang bertajuk All Eyes on Rafah juga disuarakan oleh para aktivis dan kelompok humanis untuk meningkatkan perhatian masyarakat dunia terhadap genosida yang terjadi di Gaza. Hal tersebut merupakan bentuk kampanye untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan kepedulian masyarakat dunia terhadap warga Palestina yang berada di Rafah. Dikarenakan serangan Israel yang berlangsung di Rafah ini mengundang simpati banyak orang di seluruh belahan dunia. Sehingga sebagian besar pengguna media sosial ramai mengunggah foto dan potongan video, hingga tulisan All Eyes on Rafah yang bermakna semua mata tertuju pada Rafah.
Slogan tersebut awalnya muncul dari Direktur Kantor Wilayah Pendudukan Palestina di Organisasi Kesehatan Dunia (WHO) Rick Peeperkorn pada bulan Februari 2024 lalu. Peeperkorn menyerukan All Eyes on Rafah beberapa hari setelah Perdana Menteri Israel Benjamin Netanyahu memerintahkan rencana evakuasi di kota tersebut menjelang serangan yang dilancarkan Israel. Netanyahu mengeklaim bahwa Rafah adalah benteng pertahanan terakhir kelompok Hamas di Palestina.
Di tengah kekacauan Timur Tengah yang sering diwarnai konflik yang ditunggangi kepentingan Barat dan Israel, terdapat sebuah harapan dan doa untuk Rafah yang terletak di perbatasan Mesir dan Jalur Gaza, Rafah menjadi sebagai simbol kekuatan dan solidaritas warga dunia dalam menghadapi tantangan, dan perhatian dunia dengan semangatnya yang tak tergoyahkan dalam diri mereka.
